Writing a blog?
KWALON plans to post monthly blogs on this website about doing qualitative research and what is involved. This blog will replace the journal, which ceased to exist in 2025.
With this interactive blog, we want to breathe new life into the community of qualitative researchers in the Netherlands. Our aim is to promote qualitative research and provide a platform for qualitative researchers to share knowledge and methodological problems and challenges with each other. We are looking for ideas for blogs and hope you could contribute! You can certainly use your blog post as a stepping stone for an article to be published elsewhere. The discussion on the KWALON website could possibly even enhance the arguments in the article..
Specifically, we are looking for blogs on:
- a methodical (practical) problem (question and/or solution) or
- a knowledge-theoretical (more philosophical) topic or
- the (added) value of qualitative research or
- issues surrounding education in qualitative methods.
For the blogs, we apply the following author guidelines:
- a blog contains 1000-1500 words maximum (2-3 pages);
- has a clear question or statement and invites interaction;
- may be written in Dutch or English;
- does not have too many literature references;
- contains one appropriate photo/illustration;
- concludes with a short CV of the author (maximum 50 words)
We look forward to receiving your idea(s) at blog@kwalon.nl. Also, if you have any questions or would like more information, please let us know.
